John Lyons is one of the most respected trainers around the world. He is known as “America’s Most Trusted Horseman” and he has earned that title through almost 29 years of dedication to horses and horse owners. His ideas and concepts in horse training have influenced every level of performance, every style of riding and every breed of horse throughout the world. His ideas and work have directly changed thousands of lives. John’s sincere regard for people and the horses they love has remained unchanged throughout his career.

John has been honored by many facets of the horse industry including universities, breed associations, horse clubs, magazines, cities and states for his contributions and dedication to the horse and the industry. John reaches out to people through The John Lyons’ Perfect Horse Magazine and has touched the lives of millions of people throughout the years.

John continues to be one of the most sought after trainers, speakers, demonstrators and clinicians in the United States and abroad. There is hardly an expo in the country or around the world where you will not find John, his children Josh and Brandi or one of their certified trainers as a guest clinician.

Thirteen years ago John developed his certified trainer program that has graduated almost 300 trainers. This program had grown to be one of the top programs in the country for producing great clinicians, trainers and teachers. Today, this training program is taught by one of the top trainers in the world, John’s son, Josh Lyons.

One of the sweetest girls in the world (according to John) and his love is his wife Jody. They live and work in Parachute, Colorado on “Our Dream Ranch.” Their door is always open to everyone and you are invited to stop by anytime.

Cindy Branham is a Certified Clinician/Trainer and resides at R&D Ranch in Topeka, Kansas. Cindy has been training professionally for the past 15 years. In November 2003 Cindy graduated at the top of her class from the John Lyons Certification Program in Parachute, Colorado.

Cindy offers Clinics, Private Training Sessions, Horsemanship Demonstrations, and Performance Training at the R&D Ranch owned by Bill and Sharon Reed, and all over the Midwest. Cindy has been a featured Clinician at Equifest of Kansas and the Iowa Horse Fair. Cindy's television debut aired on the new 2007 Season of the Rick Lamb Show on RFDTV and Wide World of Horses, “Extreme Mustang Makeover” also on RFDTV. Cindy is currently working with another mustang for the “Extreme Mustang Makeover” 2008 addition.

Cindy feels so blessed by the Lord to work with horses, but finds her real joy comes from teaching people how to better communicate with their own horse. Cindy’s training philosophy is based on safety and trust that leads to better communication and understanding form the horse. Her Training Program does not just offer performance training clinics or breaking horse clinics, but an overall training method that will reach all horse enthusiasts at there own personal levels and abilities. Her Demonstrations and Clinics teach step x step lessons on how to gain better communication and control of individual parts of the horse. The lessons are simple and easy for people and horses to understand, and very entertaining. She offers an inspirational and refreshing method that builds lasting partnerships between horse and rider. Bill Brazelton
Bill Brazelton

Bill Brazelton calls home Towell, Wyoming nestled just east of Cody.  He has been teaching and doing horse packing for over 40 years.  For the past 20 years his son Dave has been assisting him with the packing demonstrations.  Their demonstrations have been shown at events in Minnesota, Nebraska, Illinois, South Dakota, and Iowa as well as the Ken Mc Nabb ranch.  Bill uses a barrel to demonstrate on and he believes in packing the old fashion way ---no fancy buckles or bows.  Bill says some of the places and natural beauty he has seen can only be viewed by packing in.

~Common Sense Jumping~   Photos provided by: Derith Vogt

Something new and fun will be coming this year to the Iowa Horse Fair. Camie Stockhausen, 2008 Iowa Horsewoman of the Year, will be presenting a demonstration of Common Sense Jumping on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Camie will present a logical system of training techniques for jumping in her inclusive and humorous style. The demonstration will begin by covering the skills that a horse and rider should develop before beginning jumping, and exercises to improve rider and horse skill where deficits exist. Then she will proceed to logical jumping training, including what to expect in the process, common mistakes horses and riders make, and the differences between what riders and horses are concerned about while jumping. Questions from the audience will be encouraged.

Whether you want to hop over a log on the trail or show jump like a star in Vegas, your jumping training should start with Common Sense.

More information on Camie Stockhausen can be found on her website, http://www.camstock.net/
